J&K Police launches News 'Mobile App' | KNO

It will be useful for general public, Police personnel: DGP Dr. S. P Vaid.

January 26: On the eve of Republic Day, Director General of Police Dr. S.P Vaid today launched J&K police’s News App at Police headquarters here this afternoon. DGP while speaking on the occasion said that it is an effort to reach people as per their convenience, efficiently and effectively. He said this app besides amalgamating all the important Social platforms of Jammu and Kashmir Police at one place viz; Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram will also be very useful for the general public to connect with the senior officers of the police and get their problems registered and subsequently redressed. He said that this App will be one solution for the public to get information about different matters pertaining to Jammu and Kashmir police. Dr. Vaid further said that another important feature of this app is that it will enable the police personnel to put forth their ideas saying that upward communication is very important in today’s digital world. He said that they can also register their grievances. The app besides containing important news reports of J&K Police in three editions of English, Urdu and Hindi will also include other important features like Grievances, Report crime, help to tourists, Drug De-addiction services, important Phone numbers and other important information. In the App a separate tap has been included for police personnel to share their ideas. Arun Kumar Choudhary, A.G Mir, Alok Puri, IGsP Dr S.D Singh Jamwal, Shir J.P Singh, Shri Mubarak Ahmad Ganaie, Shri Ashkoor Ahmad Wani, AIGs (PHQ), Shri Sheikh Junaid Mehmood, Shri Mubassir Latifi, Shri Sameer Rekhi, Shri Kulbir Singh, Joint Director Prosecution Shri Gowhar Ahmad, Chief Accounts officer Ms Naila Zahoor, Sr. ADO PHQ, Shri Mohammad Nasir Khan, SP Armoury, Shri Gulzar Ahmad and others senior officers of Police Headquarters were present on the occasion. DGP was briefed about the functioning of App by AIG (Communication) Shir Manoj Kumar Pandit and the technical team of Ideaogram, Shri Rahul Pandit, Ms. Rohini Gupta and Shri Bharat Nanda.
